Visitor, Appreciate the Obstacles

Possibilities Amplified Home Page | About Kim | Possibilia | The Amp It Up! Blog | Resources
Dear Visitor,

Found this lovely poem by Jinxi Boo (whom is the epitome of thinking and living free) (and also, I think, persistence) on appreciating exactly that which you stumble over.

Enjoy, and this Thanksgiving, be grateful for being you, for having your own dreams, and for failure, without which "success" would be meaningless.

Grateful

Be grateful for mistakes.
Mistakes are what teach lessons.

Be grateful when you are tired,
Your hard work often means that you have made a difference.

Be grateful for unaccomplished goals.
If all were reached, what would there be to work towards?

Be grateful for shortcomings;
they provide the prospect for improvement.

Be grateful when you don't understand;
It gives you the opportunity to learn something new.

Be grateful when times are trying.
Those times make you stronger.

Be grateful for progression. And persistence.
And days, good or bad.

Be grateful for difficulties.
How you handle them speaks volumes to your character.

~j-boo

My heart--and thanks--are with you!--Kim

Have you or someone you love been recently laid off? This might help.

Possibilities Amplified Home Page | About Kim | Possibilia | The Amp It Up! Blog | Resources
Dear Visitor,

I have been extraordinarily touched by the stories of my friends and strangers that are suddenly finding themselves unemployed, or who fear for their jobs in the next round of layoffs.  I have been on both sides of this fence--being laid off and having to lay people off--and neither one is a pleasant place to be.

I decided to write a Kindle book that focuses on applying the science of Possibility Amplification to finding a job.  It's called, "What To Do Now That You've Been Laid Off: 10 Strategies for Confidently Re-Entering the Workforce."

Laid-Off-4-small.jpg

The book has practical and spiritual advice that comes from my own experiences being laid off (yes!  There was more than one!), what I learned about being a desirable candidate through being promoted a dozen times in my career, and from the science at the heart of another of my books, The Science of Making Things Happen.

In order to make it accessible to everyone, I'm offering this book at just $2.99.  You can find it here:

My heart is with you!--Kim

P.S., "Like" my brand new Possibilities Amplified, Inc. Facebook page to get updates on ways to amplify the perfect job into reality, start your own business, or create results so amazing that you'll never call your vocation a J-O-B again! Thanks!

[Possibility Tips] A lemon, a lemon, a lemon: Does it mean anything?

Possibilities Amplified Home Page | About Kim | Possibilia | The Amp It Up! Blog | Resources

Happy Veteran's Day to our vets and active duty military!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Visitor:

As a "yute," as Joe Pesci would say in the movie "My Cousin Vinnie," I learned from a silly friend (Tom) a silly way to say 11: a lemon.  I liked it a lot, and so it's become a regular part of my vocabulary: it's a lemon o'cock.  It's half past a lemon.  I could meet you there at a lemon thirty.

As I age, this will become part of my legacy: grandma's so silly when she says 11.

But on this day--a lemon, a lemon, a lemon--I'm thinking: wow.  Some people would think that's a great description of this whole past year.  Some people, in fact, would embrace the concept of calling today and this year Three Times a Lemon.  (Thanks, Lionel Ritchie.)

So, if you're one of these people, I'd like to offer you some Lemon Aid.

I'm sleeping in a warm, fluffy bed tonight.  You?

I'm gonna eat at least twice today.  You?

I'm gonna greet my husband, the greatest hubby ever, when he comes home tonight, and revel in our loving companionship.  And then there's the rest of my family and friends to enjoy.  You?

Washington may be a mess.  The global economy might be a roller coaster ride.  Our personal financial situations might be uncertain.

But I woke up today. (I'm here.) The phone rang.  (I'm connected.) I helped someone. (I'm useful.)

Even lemons have seeds.  Plant some today, and see what grows for you tomorrow.

My heart is with you, and all of your yet-to-be-discovered possibilities!--Kim
