 | Gmail: On the Rise Have you heard the news yet? If you're an avid Gmail user, I'm sure you have, but just in case you've been sleeping under a rock the past few days, I'm here to give you a complete update! As far as I know, this topic hasn't really been widely reviewed, so it is possible that several of you are still in the dark. Customize Your Stripes Okay, so you used yesterday's tip in MS Excel 2007 for every other row highlighting, correct? Were you disappointed that you couldn't find a formatting choice to meet your needs? Well, don't despair! Microsoft included a way to customize table formats, making it quite easy to customize your stripes. To create a custom table format, you need to start with the Format as Table button on the Home ribbon. At the bottom of that, you should see New Table Style. Go ahead and select it. The New Table Quick Style dialogue window will then open. On the left, there is a list of table elements that can be changed. Select an element and click the Format button. The Format Cells dialogue window will then open. Here you can make changes to the element's fill, border and font. Click OK when you've made all your changes. At this point, the preview should have updated to reflect your changes. From here, you can pick another element and repeat the process or choose to be done by clicking OK. Now, when you go to the Format as Table button, you should have the top section with your custom format available for use. With a bit of experimentation, I'm positive you'll be able to create whatever you may need! ~ April

User Switching in XP Have you ever needed to quickly switch users in Windows XP, but couldn't quite figure out how to do it? If so, I can show you a quick way to do just that, along with a step-by-step guide on how to make the switch without losing any of the files you may be working on. Keep reading for all the details! Windows XP offers you the option of Fast User Switching. It is very handy if you’re busy on the computer when another user wants to take a quick peek at their e-mail, documents, etc. But don’t worry! You don’t have to close out all your programs or log off. In XP, you can switch to the other user’s account and then back to your own, without ever losing anything. So, now that you’re filled in, how about we get started?! Note: You can only activate the Fast User Switching option if you have a computer Administrator account. With that said, here's how you can activate the Fast User Switching function in Windows XP. First, you need to go to Start, Control Panel and click on the User Accounts link. Once there, click on the User Accounts link one more time and then choose the option of "Change the way users log on or off." Lastly, in the next window, you can see whether or not the Fast User Switching option is enabled. If it's not, you can enable it by simply checking the box next to it and then clicking Apply Options. All of the above is shown below: It's that easy! So, now that you have enabled the Fast User Switching option, you can now switch over to another user. You can do that by going to the Start menu and choosing Log Off. After you do that, a window will come up, asking if you want to switch users or log off. Click Switch User. Once you’ve done that, the Windows XP welcome screen will appear. You can then choose the account you want to switch to. For example, if you wanted to switch to a guest account, simply click on the Guest picture and the guest account will open. Then, when you want to switch back to your account, simply repeat the process by going to the Start menu, logging off and switching back to your account. I learned my ABCs, how to count, tolerance for peoples' differences, how to differentiate what was the same and what was different and what friendship was all about from Sesame Street. So, as you can imagine, I was thrilled when I discovered this Web site! Here you will find Sesame Street videos that are free to watch! When you go to this site, you'll see a video of Grover who explains the video player and how to find the hundreds of clips you can watch. One way to navigate is to click on the Sesame Street character of your choice at the top of the page. That will load up a page that gives you options of clips starring that character. For instance, if you love Cookie Monster (or, if your kids do), you can choose Cookie Monster and watch clips of him. One example video is "C is for Cookie!" Or, you can use the search engine located below the video player. Just type in a keyword and see what comes up. Under each video you play, you’ll see a list of keywords. Those are what you could have searched with to find that video. That might help you out a little while you're searching. I can’t believe I still know the words to these songs! This is a great site for kids and the young at heart alike. I know I’m going to spend a lot of time here watching my favorite clips. Computer Tips [ Many Manners of Mice To Choose From + Customize Your Stripes + Friday Funnies ] 01/04/08
Oh, I almost forgot. The sound quality from these is incredible! Everything is so crisp, so full. It almost sounds like the music is being performed just for you. I'm not sure if it's the noise canceling that makes the music sound so pure or what, but they're really good! Gary said he has a pair of $50 Sony noise canceling headphones at home, and he can't tell the difference - these are just as good and I'll tell you, the price is much better!!!
Well, all I can say is WOW! What a great little tool! You simply feed the line down into the offending drain, and then pull the trigger as you remove the line. It brought up a ton of nasty gunk (gross!), but I gotta tell ya, it sure did fix my slow drain problem! Works like a champ now! Just for good measure, I ran it in all the drains in the house - just to get them flowing as good as possible. This is one of those tools that everyone needs to keep in their home! Honestly, I'm nothing but impressed!
