FEBE: New Firefox Extension

So, tell me, how much do you love Firefox extensions? I know some of you probably download new ones everyday, while the rest of you may have only used a few of them. Either way, you have to admit that Firefox extensions are very helpful and they bring a new light to our Web browsing experience. And what I have for you today is no exception! It's called the Firefox Environment Backup Extension (FEBE) and I'm telling you, it's top of the line! In my opinion, it's one of the best extensions Mozilla has ever released for their Firefox browser. Let's check it out!

With FEBE, you can easily back up or move any of your Firefox settings. That includes your bookmarks, links to the Web sites you visit most often, your stored passwords, your form data and so on. There's nothing FEBE can't back up or move for you! Now, I want you to stop and think about something for a minute. How would you feel if you lost all of your Firefox information? Or, what if you had to move it to another location? Talk about a nightmare! But with FEBE, you can do both of those things with ease!

FEBE also allows you to create custom backup configurations and you can even schedule your backups ahead of time. All you have to do is specify a save directory before you begin and then FEBE can go to work. It's a very small download and it's completely hassle-free. Anyone who uses Firefox on a regular basis really should give FEBE a try. If you're interested, you can download the Firefox Environment Backup Extension for free right here. Just click on the Install Now button and you'll be all set. Your Firefox has never been better!

Fire Resistant Document Bag!

AMAZING!!!

Protect Your Valuable Documents!

This Document Bag is simply AMAZING and truly is fire resistant!

I saw these at one of my suppliers and ordered a sample to use for some personal documents, not really thinking to put it in our newsletter. Well anyway, the sample came in today and when it got to my desk it was already open - hmmm! A few minutes later one of my shippers told me she opened it and already tested it (she got out a lighter and tried to start it on fire) because she was curious if it really worked!

I'm happy to tell you, there are absolutely NO BURN markings of ANY KIND on the bag! I believed her, but I still had to try for it myself ;-) It's amazing, the bag does not catch on fire (everyone here had to go and try it for themselves - good thing we didn't set off any smoke alarms ;-)! The Document Bag is constructed of fiberglass and it is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1000° F!

Obviously, no one can't predict when a fire might break out - one could happen to any of us at any time. This Fire Resistant Document Bag is like a fire safe for all your important documents that you can't afford to lose. Right off the top I am thinking of all the documents I have in my desk at home - insurance papers, passports, birth certificates, property deeds, etc. Not to mention checks, cash, treasured family photos and more! If the worst were to happen and a fire broke out, all of these would be gone!!!

I know what I'm doing tonight - going home and getting my desk cleaned out and securing all my documents in this Fire Resistant Document Bag! A fire would be bad enough, but to lose all of my families important documents and valuable items that could have been protected (my stomach hurts just thinking about it), that would be an unnecessary tragedy.

I think these Fire Resistant Document Bags are a MUST-HAVE for everyone who has important or valuable documents they don't want to lose. To give you all the opportunity to get one (or two) and keep your documents safe from fire, we've got two great deals - check it out:

Computers 101

Q:
Can you please explain what driver signing is? I'm a little confused by it. Thanks for your help!

A:
I'd be more than happy to! When you're installing a new piece of software on your computer, do you ever get an error message that says something about Windows logo testing? I'm sure it's happened to you at least once, if not several times, but if you're not sure what the whole logo testing thing is, please read here before you continue on with this tip. Once that's understood, read on for an explanation of what driver signing is and what it has to do with the Windows logo testing!

The driver signing feature in Windows XP allows you to make sure the drivers you are installing for any new program, device, etc. are actually compatible with Windows. To do this, right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and choose Properties. Click on the Hardware tab and then the Driver Signing button. You will see a little explanation of the Windows logo testing at the top as well.

Next, you can choose how you want your computer to notify you about the testing. You can either have your computer ignore it and not notify you at all, you can choose to be warned with a prompt each time this comes into play or you can block it, which will tell your computer to never install an unsigned driver. Once you've made your choice, just check the button next to it and then click OK twice. From now on, your computer will obey your Windows logo testing preferences and trust me, it will make everything so much easier for you!

Hope that helps!

MS Office

Formatting Be Gone!

Working in MS Excel?

If so, have you found yourself in a situation where your worksheet has so much formatting, it's beginning to be a bit ridiculous? I mean, how much time can you possibly spend keeping all that formatting consistent?

Wish you could remove it all and just start over?

Maybe you've tried that and found it was just too much work to remove it all, one format at a time.

Looking for a one step move to strip all the formatting away from your data and go back to the beginning?

Yes?

Excellent, because that's exactly what I have for you today!

To begin, you should highlight all the cells you want to remove the formatting from. Ctrl + Shift + Spacebar will select the whole worksheet just as efficiently as the button above the row numbers.

In older versions of MS Excel, you'll need to go to the Edit menu, Clear choice. Then from the submenu, choose Formats.

If you're working in Excel 2007, you're looking for the Home ribbon, Editing section on the far right, the Clear button and then choose Clear Formats from the list.

Poof!

All your data is stripped of its formatting and you can now start fresh again!

Great Deals From Our Store...

Our Supplier Can't Keep 'Em In Stock & Neither Can We!

Amazing Drain Sweeper Will Save You Hundreds$$$

Get Your Slow, Clogged Drains Moving Again In Minutes!

A Must Have For Everyone!

It's called the Drain Sweeper and let me tell ya - if you use drains, you need this! :-)

I just purchased a new house and one of the drains was running a bit slow. I tried some liquid drain unclogger stuff, but it really didn't help. Then I remembered one of our suppliers sent us a sample of this "Drain Sweeper" thingy so I decided to give it a shot before tearing the pipes apart.

Well, all I can say is WOW! What a great little tool! You simply feed the line down into the offending drain, and then pull the trigger as you remove the line. It brought up a ton of nasty gunk, but it sure did fix my slow drain problem! Works like a champ now! Just for good measure, I ran it in all the drains in the house - just to get them flowing as good as possible.

I know, no one really wants to think about nasty drain clogs, much less talk about them, but I tell ya - you need to grab one of these and give it a try! We weren't even going to mention these because we simply didn't know if they would work, but now that I've given it a shot, I'm nothing but impressed! It's one tool everyone needs around their home!

I mean, let's face it - eventually you're going to have a clogged up drain and rather than calling a plumber, you'll be saying, "Man, I'm glad Steve told me about this Drain Sweeper!" Hey, if it saves just one call to a plumber, it's paid for itself 5 times over (or more)!

Plus, the price is fantastic - just $14.97 and US shipping is FREE! We were able to get a batch of these in last week and they SOLD OUT before noon! If you're one of the customers that missed out last week, you gotta get to the site and get yours ordered NOW! I'm telling you, after trying it I can see why these are such a high-demand item! It's crazy not to have one of these - give it a shot, you'll be glad you did!!

http://store.worldstart.com/product.php?productid=4008

PS - Due to the popularity of this item, these are extremely hard to come by. Once our inventory is gone, it may be months before we see more of this item! Hurry to the site before they're gone!

Cancel Out Annoying Background Noise!

Really!

Awesome Earbuds & Headphones!

Sure, we were a little skeptical - at first. We gave these to Gary (our tech guy) to give 'em a good thorough test. Gary went out to the stockroom and and stood next to the heating unit in our building just to make sure it was nice and noisy. First he tested them without plugging into a radio or anything, just checking the noise cancel ability all on it's own - Works Great! All the sudden, the noise from the heating unit was reduced to an almost nonexistent level! Gary was amazed! He said he really had to listen hard to detect any of the noise.

First thought on these is that I need to take a pair next time I travel - especially on an airplane (I always seems to get stuck by the sleeping, snoring guy or have a kid behind me crying the whole time - not pleasant when you're on a 3 hour flight, I'm going prepared next time - you should too)! They would also be great if you're listening to music in a noisy environment, you know - the neighbor has their mower running, big trucks are passing by outside, the chump in the office next to you likes to sing out loud - whatever!

Oh, I almost forgot. The sound quality from these is incredible! Everything is so crisp, so full. It almost sounds like the music is being performed just for you. I'm not sure if it's the noise canceling that makes the music sound so pure or what, but they're really good! Gary said he has a pair of $50 Sony noise canceling headphones at home, and he can't tell the difference - these are just as good and I'll tell you, the price is much better!!!

Now, here's the deal, you've got two styles to choose from ~ these are available in Noise Canceling Earbuds as well as a Noise Canceling Headset! You can decide which is best for you based on your needs and your style. Both styles are really comfortable to wear, they each come with an airplane plug adapter and you even get a nice little travel bag with them for easy portability (or, you can use the travel bag to store all the money you're saving ;-) ~ what more could you ask for?

Here's pricing and links for both:

Noise Canceling Earbuds - your cost is just $16.97 and that includes FREE shipping in the US! We couldn't find any when we where searching that were less than $25.00, so this is a killer deal!

http://store.worldstart.com/product.php?productid=4060

Noise Canceling Stereo Headphones - your cost is just $20.97 and that includes FREE shipping in the US! That's less than half of what Gary spent on his - and these are just as good (better considering the price)!

http://store.worldstart.com/product.php?productid=4059

PS - Please note that every time we run headphones of any kind we sell out (especially noise canceling). This is a VERY limited quantity deal. If you want a set, PLEASE get to the site early. Once these are gone, there are no more available.

Tip of the Day

Unnecessary Features in Vista

If you've been using Windows Vista for awhile now, you have probably noticed that it contains, by default, many new features you may not even need. Those extra and unnecessary features can slow your computer down and take up more storage space than is needed. So, if you would like to uninstall or turn off some of those extra features, this is the tip for you!

Some of the Windows Vista features can be uninstalled using the Windows Features utility. Simply follow these steps to uninstall any applications you don't need:

  • Click on the Start button and select Control Panel.

  • Under Programs, click the option of "Uninstall a program."

  • Next, on the side menu, click on "Turn Windows features on or off."

  • Go ahead and scroll through the list, as shown below, and remove the checkmark from any feature you do not want installed on your computer.

  • Click OK when you're finished making your changes. The features will then be uninstalled.

That's all there is to it. Here's to a brand new Vista for you!

Giggle Poetry

Several kids around the country are still on winter break and I'm sure some of you diligent parents and grandparents might be wondering what you can do to keep your children learning and having fun until they go back to school. Well, I have one option for you today. Welcome to Giggle Poetry, a Web site devoted to funny poetry for children. This reminds me of when I was a child, getting kids' poetry books out of the library or the first time my mom introduced me to "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein.

There are a lot of fun ways to navigate this site. You can use the blue banner in the top middle of the page under the words Giggle Poetry. That will take you to all sorts of different poems.

Or, you can scroll down under that and go to the sections highlighted in the center of the page. Those are: Poetry Class, Poetry Fun, Poetry Theater, A Partially True Biography, Authors in School and Ask the Poet.

Then there is always the side menu to choose from as well. The side menu is really a conglomeration of the other two menus, but it has some extra links for teachers! Now, the way I would surf is to just click the categories that catch you or your child’s attention. Maybe start in the Featured Poem section or the poem category that caught your eye.

When you visit the poems, you’ll notice each poem has a rating system called the Giggle Meter. This is where you and your child can rate the poem from "I Love It" to "I Don’t Like It," each with a different smiley face to choose from!

I thought the Poetry Fun section was really awesome, because it’s interactive. You’ll find riddles, tongue twisters and even fill in the blank poems there. That was probably one of my favorite sections!

Get ready to laugh while you explore!
